Graphics files no longer included with Visual Studio?

by the3factory 3/24/2008 6:22:00 PM
Question:

I used to use Visual Studio 2003 and it included a set of standard graphics files, bitmaps and icons.

Now using Visual Studio 2005 I don't see any standard graphics files.

Am I just missing where they are installed or how they are packaged? If not then is there a place to download standard XP or Vista graphics?

Thanks!

Answer1:

Look in program files\Visual Studio 8\Common7 and there should be a folder called VS2005ImageLibrary or something.  In there is a zip file with all the standard images.  I am using vs2008 on this machine so I don't know the exactly location but it should be there since I have used before in vs2005.  In vs2008 the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\VS2008ImageLibrary\1033.
